easing into posting..

Can I just say how much I love fresh produce! It is amazing! I am a part of a produce co-op and our next shipment came today and I am so excited! There is something about picking up fresh fruit and veggies and being able to feel a part of something. I don't know why, but it makes me so happy. It's different than just going to the grocery store. Here you get a variety of different fruits and veggies, and each time there is something new in there that you can experiment with. I like having a new ingredient, finding a fun recipe, and then trying it out. Granted, it doesn't always work, but hey, chalk it up to experience!

I made my first batch of lemon squares tonight! Umm..I don't know if I made them correctly, they are little tan on the sides and some of the top is kinda runny looking. I'm not sure if that's how they're supposed to look, but they are tangy, and they look edible! :) And I'm probably going to give them away to people, because I really love making desserts and then not really eating them. The fun is in the making and tasting some of the batter, and that usually does it for me.
