What a week! New recipies, being a new 5th roommate, and trying not to get sick. I love new recipies. I re-discovered the Real Simple magazine earlier this week. I have looked at it before and thought that it was so well designed and was so simple yet so beautiful. I checked out a bunch of magazines from the library for my lighting class. Specifically looking for great examples of lighting. I picked up the usual fashion magazines that contain beautiful lighting, but moved past the Real Simple magazines and realized they had some beautiful still-life photography. I added it to my stack. When I got home I went through it and found that it is such a spectacular magazine. There are wonderful tips on how to use what is around you and gives new uses to everyday objects. So amazing! And it also has spectacular easy recipies! I love new recipies and trying my hand at new foods. I was able to try a really easy and delicious new chicken recipie. It is breaded chicken with dijon mustard. Chicken, dijon mustard, bread crumps, and oregano, and olive oil. That's it! Simple ingredients, that are so good. The mustard gives the chicken a kick. There were four other chicken recipies in that same magazine that look way good! I can't wait to try them and there were a bunch of other really great sounding recipies. I also got some great recipie ideas from Steph earlier this week. She made dinner for her roomies and I stopped by just as she was finishing her afredo pasta salad. Lucky timing! I tried some and it was way good. I got me thinking about getting cook books, which you can never have to many! She has a giant Better Homes and Garden recipie book that is loaded with amazing tips, a dictionary of cooking terms, and a plethera of really delicious looking food. Along with the new recipies I was told this week that I am a great roommate! According to Alan Ashman I am a good fit for Jamestown 21! I have been over at there apartment just about every night using their internet, because our free internet is no longer available :( So instead I have been at their apartment. They have been gracious enough to let me use their internet and be their 5th roommate! It's been so nice to have such great friends and to know I'm included!
